£4 for a flat white!
Coffee today? I’ll be buying from an independent cafe using my reusable cup
The graphic from the Bournemouth legends at Bad Hand Coffee, highlights that despite increased sale prices of a cup of coffee, the margins are wafer thin.
Independent coffee shops use high quality beans, pay fair wages and don’t dodge taxes. So it’s unfair that the large chains don’t operate to the same integrity.
People sometimes ask me what responsible business looks like. And this is it:
💚 Local businesses distribute profits through local economies.
🏢 Profiteering global corporations extract it to benefit their own interests.
So if you’re going out for a coffee, try to visit your local independent cafe.
And using a reusable cup is a triple bottom line win!
