I’ve lived and breathed brand, marketing and purpose for many years.

After gaining my degree in International Marketing, I’ve been on a continual journey of learning, growth and creative curiosity.

Being an integral part of the incredible underdog success story of LV= (moving from 2nd to 9th in the market despite being massively outspent), I built a passion for creating impactful brands. As one of the few remaining Mutuals, the LV= values aligned strongly with my personal principles, something which I then took further by training with B Corp to become a B Leader and deepening my sustainability expertise.

Moving into the world of consultancy and interim positions, I’ve been able to expand my knowledge and experience across multiple sectors, categories and business types. I’ve supported a variety of client, agency and B2B businesses in a number of ways:

Some of my career achievements.

Integrated campaign - TV, outdoor, radio, digital.

During my time at LV=, I became the most senior marketer and was accountable for all General Insurance marketing across brand, performance, customer and insight.

My final campaign was the most successful delivering significant uplifts in core metrics including the highest YouGov brand scores, digital search volumes and customer perception.

Sustainability strategy. Intersecting brand and event activation.

Major League Baseball had a strategic ambition to launch a new game format to the UK market. Market insights highlighted the importance of sustainability to their key target audiences and they needed support to embed this into their event experience. I was brought on to the project by the lead sustainability consultancy for my unique intersectional knowledge in brand strategy, sustainability strategy and market insight. We delivered a full strategy, surpassing client expectations.

B Corp certification support.

Hallam approached me to provide support with their B Corp certification. I was quickly able to provide a GAP analysis of their progress and impactful insights to move things forwards as quickly as possible. With a successful B Corp certification, I was recommended to other clients, based on the way I worked.

Marketing leadership, brand strategy and team development.

For this interim position, I was brought in by the CEO to lead a new brand strategy and marketing transformation. Quickly becoming a key member of the leadership team, I delivered:

Award winning marketing. Becoming a text book case study.

It’s been said that some awards can be won by buying a table from the organiser. That’s definitely not true of the ‘Institute of Practitioners in Advertising’ Awards. These forensically examined award entries are from all industries, all categories and all levels of spend and our 696% organic growth in under 5 years won us this prestigious honour.

In fact, our entry was so powerful that we were asked by leading marketing scholar, Chris Fill, if we could be used as the lead case study in one of the most used university text books.

The way we built the LV= brand, is literally a text book answer in brand and marketing strategy.

Sustainability thought leadership.

I was privileged to write a guest blog for Tom Greenwood’s ‘Oxymoron’ newsletter. This long form content explored the evolving world of sustainable business and how to achieve sustainable success.

Leading, supporting and growing a new marketing team, we were recognised by the CIM for the amazing success we achieved in our campaigns while embedding a new culture and more effective ways of working. I’ve won many awards but I’m particularly proud of this one.
