ACTionism - film screening

  • Patch (in Bobby's) 2-12 Commercial Road Bournemouth, England, BH2 5LP United Kingdom (map)

Many of us feel paralysed in fear and anxiety for our future, but there is always hope.

ACTionism is a film about the art of finding your people to take collective action. About collectively moving from passive consumers to active citizens. A story centred around doing things with others, not to others.

Ellie left school with the same crippling climate anxiety that many young people have. But her journey leads her to finding hope, new friends and a better way of life. She learns to identify as a citizen in a community, rather than just a consumer in a market.

This film sets out a very clear set of ideas, so regular people, just like us, can feel a sense of agency, find joy and make a living in a world under threat.
